Junglee-Hale Paathre,Hale KabaNa(Kannada): Pathetic lyrics
Last weekend Niru and Shaanya told that they are gonna dedicate a song for me on Radio Girmit, I was kinda happy. But later I came to know the song which they were going to dedicate and by god..it was horrible..
I had told the same thing for Chitranna Chitranna song but later I felt it was kinda ok as it seemed funny to hear such lyrics. Same stuff again, the music is catchy but lyrics are real bad. But this song is probably one of the worst lyrics ever written in the history of kannada music industry. The song I am talking about is “Junglee – Hale Paathre“. You will be shocked to hear this, the lyrics for this song is written by Yograj Bhat himself. How could he even think of such lyrics. Probably only two songs in the movie are good to hear. I think its pathetic to use words like “hale paathre, hale kabana” in some song in which the next lines are about love and romance. And this song is sung by “Kailash Kher”, he will even not know what the meaning of this song is. He will probably feel bad if he comes to know what the lyrics actually meant. But ..but
the song has really nice catchy music, but why such lyrics. Kannada music industry has some real good music makers but why not set the same trend for lyrics too. There is no dearth for good lyricists in karnataka. Come on people, with more than 5 Crore population can’t we get few people to write some real good lyrics. What happened to the poetic kannada songs which used to be there in almost all the golden classic movies… Why can’t we get to hear some nice soothing lyrics. An excellent example is Jayant Kaikini who proved that the songs in kannada movies can still be made poetic. Maybe we could have some 10 clones of Jayant Kaykini so that we could get lyrics which really make sense and be poetic too.
In all I believe the lyrics of Junglee-hale paathre song are pathetic.

lyrics cud go worst as aabaa, daaba, hale batli, raddi, mudka saaaamaaan and we have the standard tune for this
one thing i can say after reading this is she or he is a stupid………… sheorhe has no taste
I beg to differ from all those who say the lyrics of Junglee movie song "HaLe Paathre, HaLe KabbiNa" are pathetic, rather I would say, it may not appeal at once, but they are really meaningful and in the context of a realistic person, they stand very true as well. Just by the initial few lines, we cannot label a song to be bad. Infact, this song is more better and meaningful than "Chithraanna" from the movie "Budhdhivantha". We should not forget that Mr. Yogaraj Bhat is a very good movie maker, known for crispy and catchy dialogues as well as good lyrics. He has written the lyrics of "Mungaaru Maleye yenu ninna hanigaLa leele"! I agree that film makers should not take it as an excuse to write many such songs with 'not-so-good' words saying that 'they appealed to audience'. But,with the present trend being like this, we as audience should also be careful in giving patronage for these kind of songs. On the whole, we wish that songs with good lyrics and complementing contemporary music be produced in Kannada.
I do agree with you. Though music is gud but the lyrics is pathetic. Initially i thought i am the only person who is feeling bad about the lyrics of this song as i saw so many people are listening and enjoying this song.
after reading your blog i am bit relaxed
Lyrics are good and more than that to say they are catchy. Please relaise that penning down such lyrics is not easy though seems easy. Lyric is apt to the situation.
HaLe paatrE halE kabbNaa … is a good and catchy song on the whole..
