Inspite of me going to a reputed English medium school, I often speak crappy english..Doesn’t matter . important thing is to correct such common mistakes soon.. Below are some wrong and correct usage of english for common silly mistakes we make in day to day life !

1. Wrong: I sent the mail yesterday night

Correct: I sent the mail last night

2. Wrong: I replied to her today morning

Correct: I replied to her this morning

3. Wrong: He said me to go
Correct: He told me to go

4. Wrong: Please on the fan!
Correct: Please turn on the fan or Please switch on the fan

5. Wrong: He is my cousin brother
Correct: He is my cousin
(English does not contain a separation/ qualification for female or male cousins)

6. Wrong: I prefer studying in the midnight.
I prefer studying at the morning.
Correct : I prefer studying at midnight.
I prefer studying in the morning.

note: I am/was aware of these mistakes, only thing is I noticed some recently and so thought of jotting them down..and Yes many a times I still use “yesterday night” .. so thought I should make a list..
