YouTube, Gmail updated with new features – Gmail Invitation Still Alive !
Many of you must have observed few small changes in YouTube and Gmail in this week. Youtube ads a new look for playing the next video after you finish playing one and a slightly different style of putting up related videos after playback (looks nice).
And gmail adds pixel saving features to minimize/hide modules which you think you are not interested in, and separation of mail, contacts looks good too.
But the question remains that after all these updates, the Gmail Invitation feature still remains alive ? Why? Gmail is not in Beta and has a feature for signup. So why still have invitation facility being visible to the users and also with the “invites left” counter (71 left) showing up. They could just hide that feature – as we don’t use it – as Gmail is not exclusive as it was few years ago when it started and people had to get an invite to signup
.
Below are some screenshots showing updates of YouTube, Gmail and also showing the Gmail Invitation feature still alive
