Reliance Netconnect+ Don’t use, Don’t try, Never Buy !

What do you feel when a company comes up and claims that they are India’s Superfast Wireless Broadband With Speed Up to 3.1Mbps ! You will obviously feel excited, wow things are changing fast, too fast !

But when it comes to reality delivering the speed, the quality is a total waste of investment. After researching on all of the present Wireless Broadband providers, I chose Reliance only with the assumption that their signal strength and service was always good and reliable. Every other provider had some or the other issue – either signal strength, the towers, billing issues and what not !

Finally I chose Reliance out of all the present providers – i.e MTS, Tata Photon+ to name a few. If the speed variation was just shocking. If a provider cannot give half of what they claim, then whats the use of marketing it so much and creating hype !

Reliance claims “Upto 3.1 Mbps”, I do agree that on wireless broadband achieving such speeds is tough as there would be so many parameters, constraints to get to that speed, that is from a company perspective.
But from a consumer perspective, I am at loss ! Why should I pay for half of what I am getting, then I should pay half the amount ? – It does make sense and logical !
I cannot have a clear conversation on skype calls or on Gmail calls, the speed is that pathetic !

Right now my plan is postpaid and I pay Rs 1100 per month. You can check the screenshots to see what I get regularly and what burst speed I get.

Local Reliance Web World Representative:
Sir, there is some digging going on and some wires have been cut and so the speed is slow, when that is solved and that will happen in a week’s time. Then you will definitely get superb speed.
Me – ok (hehehe)

Call from billing representative:
Representative – Sir, the bill is overdue and hasn’t been paid.
Me – Yes, I have deliberately not paid, as I am not getting the speed what I need, why should I pay for something I haven’t used.
Me – I haven’t used for almost a month as the speed was no good.
Representative – Sir, please pay the bill so that I can make the consideration saying that you are a customer who pays bills on time and then I can escalate it faster.
Me – Ok. Lets see the response, after I pay the bill.

Response from customer care:
Sir, please change the mode from Netconnect+ to hybrid and vice versa and check, you will definitely see an increase, if not I will escalate the complaint. Everything done, but no response from the customer care.

The complete bill has been paid 2 days ago which is due on Dec 2. Till now there is no call from customer care nor the billing representative.

So, I have decided to wait for Reliance Wireless Broadband customer care to come back to me and rectify the issue and atleast get me consistent 1Mbps so that I can make clear conversations on skype calls/gmail.
Or else I am returning the Reliance Netconnect+ and I do need a refund !!
And any other provider who could provide close of 1Mbps+ consistent speed can contact or comment here :) ;)
